Condolences to Christine and Jr. Your dad was a true friend and a gentleman.
Boarding with your family in the 1960s I had the luck to be on the same shift as your dad and we rode to and from work together. One day on the way home he asked me what was so different about his soup that day as everyone at work was teasing him about how he looked. He had on a brown suit, a blue shirt, a red tie and black shoes. When I explained what he was wearing he got upset with me for not telling him that in the morning. Little did I know he was colour blind and Doris wasn’t home to put out his clothes that day. A colour blind policeman, only Bob could pull it off. pB6

Bob was my wonderful big brother. When he was about 12 yrs. old, he had a paper route and would deliver those papers in a red wagon. I was 3 yrs. old at the time and small for my age. Bob would place the papers in the wagon and set me on top - on windy days I served a purpose but didn’t know that at the time. In kindergarten I was in a “rhythm band” and we had a recital at a local school. It was Bob who took me to join my class, put my costume on and find my drum sticks before he joined our parents in the audience. He also took me for a ride in his first car ( he was so proud of it, and I was so proud of him ). As time went on he was in our wedding party, was godfather to my daughter and a fabulous uncle as well. I could go on and on but my memories would fill a volume. Bob has taken a part of me with him, but I know that some day we will meet again and I will get it back. He will always be my hero! ❤️❤️❤️

Bob and I go back a long way (I'm 88). We first knew each other when we played minor league baseball together in the 1940s. We most recently were together when we were with first the Kitchener Police Department then Waterloo Region. We were also both very much involved in association activities. I was, as the local secretary and then 5 years on the board of the P.A.O; 3 of which were as secretary. Bob was one of my best friends both on the job as well as in association activities and sports. I was very upset to hear of his passing and will deeply miss him.

Joan & I are saddened by Bob's passing. We will miss our visits with him whenever we came down from Tobermory. He always had a smile and laughter, and a joke or two. He always wanted his Detective partners to be his Pallbearers but with Covid 19 that can't happen. He was a Great Detective and he was my partner and mentor when I first went into Detectives.
He always cared about the Police Force and we will all miss him. Rest In Peace Bob
