I will always cherish our chats together and his dry, yet witty, sense of humour with me. He liked to challenge me intellectually. One of my favourite memories dates back to when I would come visit the first week of July to launch our summer break, and Randy was in the den watching a movie starring Ellen Barkin, and Cathy was gathering snacks from the kitchen and casually asked, “Is that a dog barking?” with Randy replying with his usual wit, “No, that’s Ellen Barkin.” He will be missed and will forever hold a special place in my heart. -Rebecca
