Obituary of Randal F. Palach

PALACH, Randal F.

It is with much sadness that the family of Randal F. Palach announce that he has passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020.  He will be greatly missed by Catherine, his wife and friend of 44 years, and by his children, grandson, and sons-in-law: Randal D. Palach; Christina Palach; Maria Palach (Wes Hordyk); Evelyn Palach (Mark Benjamins); and Laisyn Palach.

Randy was born in Kitchener in 1951, and is survived by his mother, Helen, of Waterloo, and his siblings John (Donna); Bonnie Rajcak (Eric);  Susie (Cindy Collins), and sister-in-law Yolanda.  He is predeceased by his father, Walter, and brother, Tony.

Randy was a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and enjoyed a span of many years in corporate management and consulting, providing distribution leadership within the packaging, medical, and alternative energy industries.  He was grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Boards of Scarborough General Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener; as Committee member with Wilfrid Laurier University; and Council chair for St. Agnes Church, Waterloo.  He greatly enjoyed travelling with his family, and was an avid hockey player, reluctantly hanging up his skates after many years on the ice.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Knight and staff at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, and the LHIN care team.
