Dean passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the age of 56.

Dean was born in Nottingham, England on November 25, 1963 to parents Christine and Cyril Bankes.  Cyril predeceased Dean in 2001.

Dean is lovingly remembered by his Mother Christine Auld, Step-Dad Alexander Auld, Sons John Bankes (Kaitlyn) and Kyle Bankes (Brittany), Grandchildren Hanna, King, Sophie, Leland and Payton and former Spouse Lisa MacArthur. Sisters, Cheryl LeBlond (Maurice), Kimberly Bartone (Maurizio) and Michelle Auld (Victor), Brother David Auld, Nieces Krysta Pacheco, Ashley Langille (1984 - 2017), Alexis Bartone, Nephew Lucas Bartone, Great-Nephews and Great-Niece Joshua and Jordan Langille and Christian and Vanessa Pacheco.

Dean will be deeply missed by all family near and far.

Dean served in the Canadian Armed Forces during Service, he worked in Inventry, Pioneering, MSC-OP, he also did a peace tour in Haiti.  After leaving the Armed Forces, Dean and his family moved back to Ontario, where he started to work for Erb Transport Ltd. for many years.  He loved his family and his dogs Jack and Daisy.  Dean was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan.  He also had a huge love of his Rock Music; his favourite bands were AC/DC and ZZ Top.  Quote from AC/DC, "All it is, is Rock N' Roll."

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family and close friends visitation and funeral service will be held.  Dean’s service will be live-streamed at www.erbgood.com on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation and Funeral Service Details

A private family visitation and funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
