From Marilyn and David Scott, our heartfelt condolences to Agnes's family. Agnes and I shared time in vastly different capacities at Eastwood Collegiate, Conestoga College, and numerous other endeavours. But sharing friendship was the highlight of our times together, and I shall miss her very much.

I had the great fortune of meeting Agnes as a student of the Public Service program at Conestoga College. She was a peerless educator, a brilliant mind, a wonderful mentor, and a tireless advocate for her students. I learned a great deal from her and was the beneficiary many times over of her passion for enhancing lives. I am better for having known her. My heartfelt condolences go out to Agnes' friends and family at this challenging time.

Agnes was a terrific support during my time in the Public Service program in its first year at Conestoga, and she's supported me since then and remained encouraging years after. Her enthusiasm and often direct approach in advising was so appreciated and helped students feel confident. In reading her obituary, it's wonderful to know Agnes had lovely family and friends, I enjoyed reading more about her life. My condolences.

I worked with Agnes at Conestoga College. She was a wonder! Our students in the English for Academic Purposes program loved her and really appreciated her sense of humour. She was kind, but firm, and really understood these newcomers to Canada. As a colleague, she was warm, engaging and full of life! She will be deeply missed. My condolences to all her family.

Words cannot describe how saddened we were to hear about Agnes’ passing. Agnes was a truly caring, selfless and compassionate soul. She was always a glass half full person and always managed to find humor in challenging times.
My mum Gay (featured in the photo in the red sweatshirt) met Agnes in 1976 and a lifelong friendship was born. We are forever thankful that Agnes was brought into our lives. My first memories of Agnes are of R.H. King school field trips to Canada’s Wonderland (I was about 7 years old, in the early 1980’s and was allowed to miss school). Agnes was so much fun to be around and spent lots of time playing games and winning toys for me. Agnes was particularly fond of my son Nicolas who has developmental disabilities, and for this I am grateful. We wish the world were full of more people like her. We will miss her and are sending love, thoughts and prayers to Catherine, Dan, Peter, Dominique, Christian and all the family. Love, Jen, Bert, Lexie and Nico Ferreira

Agnes was the "genuine article". She was a great teacher, mentor, and coach to her students. As my colleague, Agnes was a true joy to work with, always willing to listen and share - with a constant twinkle in her eye and smile on her face. I will truly miss our talks!! We've lost a real treasure.
Sincerely,

I met Agnes when after her second retirement I succeeded her as Program Coordinator for the Public Service program. She was a lovely woman always willing to help me any way she could. She also worked tirelessly on behalf of her students. I always enjoyed speaking with her anytime I saw her at the office. She has served as a role model for me in my career and she will be missed.

Never has there been a purer soul or more caring heart than hers. Selfless to the core, her wisdom and profound moral courage carried family, friends, students, and colleagues through countless crises. She faced life’s most painful challenges, and still had laughter and song to share. I’ll forever be grateful for her friendship.

Agnes was a wonderful neighbour for many years on Amos Ave. She was pleasant, relaxed and the most easy going neighbour a person could ask for. While she was always busy with work and didn't see her too often, she admired my parents' garden every time she was out on her deck. She laughed and said this is why she couldn't move, the view was too good. Many times Agnes would call over to my parents (Elisabeth & Bodo) near the fence and ask for advice, borrowing a garden tool or offering a friendly hello. She would always stop and chat and share in a chuckle or two until we would see her next.
Agnes will truly be missed. May she Rest In Peace.
Our sincerest condolences, The Roesslers (Bodo, Elisabeth & Rebecca) ~ Next door neighbours

From a member of the Lancaster family (Chris) we have all been talking about Agnes and the family this week a ton, she will be missed in a big way. Though we only saw Agnes at family reunions and weddings, she always felt like an aunt, loving, caring, thoughtful and inquisitive. She was a huge part in my mother Deborah’s development and we know she was a great mother, sister, and friend. We can’t wait to see the rest of the family when this is all over and share stories of Agnes. She will always be in our hearts and minds.
