I remember your Mom and Dad so fondly. I first met your Dad, Len, at the University of Waterloo. "Lenny" as the children and staff at Paintin' Place Child Care Centre fondly called him, was always so helpful to all of us. With his forever smile he would always go out of his way to help us fix anything at the Day Care. I met your Mom when we were invited to come to your family farm and cut down a Christmas tree for the children. Your Mom so warmly welcomed Carol and I in. We sat at the kitchen table chatting for a long time and enjoyed it so very much. She served us tea in real tea cups with goodies to eat! We could see the special love that your Mom and Dad shared. I have always cherished that my life included such positive loving people and am grateful. Alicia

I used to play cards with Loretta and Len at the Adult Recreation Centre for years. Your Mom was a real serious player. I remember how kind her words to me when my Mom died. I just watched her celebration and it was beautiful. She would have loved it - you all did a good job. Maureen Rodrigue

To all my Schnarr brothers please except our condolences for the loss of a mother, wife, friend and aunt to so many that loved her. I was fortunate enough to spend so much time with the Schnarr family as Uncle Leonard hired me as a hired man for a summer back when I was 16. Not sure about the hired man part perhaps I should have been called the hired boy. Aunt Loretta seemed to be fore ever working in the kitchen preparing to feed a tribe of hungry men and boys. I really do not know how she would do all that was expected of her. My memory sees her in a dress and a apron with a pot and spatial in her hands stirring some thing for either lunch or dinner. While working as a hired boy and when it was not busy on the farm I took on a job with a neighbour roofing company. As if she wasn't busy enough she always found time to make a lunch for me.
I miss those days on the farm as many of my cousins and others do.
I will forever remember my Aunt Loretta. May you rest in piece Auntie...

My deepest condolences to the family of Loretta. As I child, I spent many hours on the farm and was always amazed at her energy in looking after everyone. Those are fond memories. She was blessed with many grandchildren. I hope everyone is doing well during these trying times.

My heart just broke. There are few people on this planet I have adored as much as Auntie Loretta. I cherish every moment I spent with her and relive them over and over in my head. She so enjoyed a good card game so I will simply say - she was a diamond!
My heartfelt sympathy to her entire family.

I have wonderful memories of Leonard and Loretta as our next-door neighbours, and miss them both. Loretta was a lovely, sparkling and determined presence, a kind and generous lady. It was a joy to know her and Leonard, and to get to know many family members as well. Thank you for live-streaming the service. It will be special to be able to 'participate' from afar, and honour her life and legacy. With caring, Dona Harvey
