SCHNARR, Loretta Regina (nee Steffler)
Beloved wife of the late Leonard Schnarr, daughter of the late Enoch and Matilda Steffler. Born October 4, 1926 and died January 5, 2021. She was a lifelong member of St. Agatha RC Catholic Church and was a member of St. Agatha CWL. Loretta lived west of Waterloo. She spent many hours as a volunteer, working at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener for 20 years and volunteered at St. Agatha RC Church, years ago. Loretta enjoyed helping her husband on the farm on Erbsville Road. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards and most of all helping her family.
She was a devoted mother to James (Linda) of Bradenton, Florida, Murray (Suzanne) of Elora, Keith (Sharon) of Gadshill, Bruce (Susan) of Heidelberg, and Paul (Nicole) of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother to twelve grandchildren; Chad (Stacey) of Olathe, Kansas, Renata (Brett) of Florida, Nigel (Katie) of Nashville, Taryn (Matt) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Amanda (Harold) of Cambridge, Todd (Crystal) of Elora, Deanne of Drayton, Darryl (Emily) of Kingston, Rodney (Cynthia) of Ottawa, Nancy (Dave) of Waterloo, Trent (Marisa) of St. Clements, and Mikayla (Justin) of Waterloo, and nineteen great grandchildren. Surviving sister Loreen and brother Urban. Surviving sisters-in-law Ann, Bernice and Joan.
Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Grace Schnarr and great grandson Zach Schnarr; sisters Catherine (Kay) and Clara; brothers Gordon and Robert (Bob), sisters-in-law Magdelene, Kathleen (Kay), Edna, Dorothy, Rose, and brothers-in-law Peter, Johnny, Claude, Howard, Albert, Arnie, Lorne, Ralph and Morris.
Due to the current restrictions, a private family visitation will take place by invitation only. A private family service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. Relatives and friends may join the family in the livestream of Loretta’s service on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 7 p.m. A link to the livestream of the service is available at the top of Loretta’s obituary page at www.erbgood.com A private family interment will be held at St. Agatha RC Cemetery on Tuesday January 12, 2021.
