GERBER, Cindy Louise (nee Pinder).
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Louise Gerber (Pinder) of Ayr, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Cindy passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on the evening of February 7, 2021.
Cindy is survived by her soulmate and husband Mark Gerber and her children Jessica (Beau) and Ben (Emily). Cherished sister to Jim Pinder (Barb) and Cathy Newton (William) and the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Maureen Pinder (2011) and James Pinder (1996).
Cindy dedicated her life to her family and friends always providing unconditional love and support. She was a successful entrepreneur creating and growing her family’s business, Oakridge Acres Country Meat Store in Ayr, Ontario. Cindy was an advocate for her community integrating her faith values as a core of her business. As an active member of Wanner Mennonite Church and other community organizations Cindy purposefully touched the lives of many.
The Gerber family thanks Dr. Sara Hahn and the palliative care team at Cambridge Memorial Hospital who provided exceptional care and compassion to Cindy.
