I realized over the weekend that I lost track of making this donation. Loved seeing again the picture of Patsy posted on the funeral home. And the celebration of her life was such a beautiful event. I know she was smiling down and enjoying the celebration as much as everyone else who attended.

Love and condolences to my cousins and all Aunt Pat's family in this sad time. My dad, Uncle Tom Dillon sends this condolence to you all and I send a few memories
"I always considered Patsy to be a great lady and when Margaret called tonight to tell me I teared up. I can remember and want to recall all the great things she did for me, Therese, and our children. We will always remember." Uncle Tom.
A few of my memories.....
I loved your mom. Everybody loved your mom. She always had a smile, a laugh, and love.
When I’d first see her each summer she’d say,
“Oh, Margaret, it’s good to see you!” It was the way she’d stop - no matter how busy or tired she was - with her stunning blue eyes and her smile that genuinely welcomed me when she’d say, “It’s good to see you.”
When we’d come over with Rebecca (when she was little) to see you and Marianne for a visit in Bayfield there were often as many as 26+ grandchildren playing outside at the cottage. Rebecca was blown away to meet and play with so many second cousins - especially as an only child. She was amazed Aunt Pat had so many grandchildren and that she always had room for one more child. She was thrilled to be there and enjoyed how your mom loved children and having all her grandchildren around. Special times. Special memories for her...and me.
I think you’ll remember that when I was about eight Greg and I took our first airplane flight - solo no less - from NY to Toronto. We stayed with dad’s sister - my Aunt Ann and Uncle Dick - for a week after which they drove us from Toronto to your house to be with your family for a week or two.
As my aunt and uncle departed, the large front door of your house reverberated and echoed behind them when it shut. I sat in the chair at the bottom of the grand staircase in the hall and began to cry. I was excited to be staying with you but as Aunt Ann and Uncle Dick left I felt the poignancy of another goodbye and the sharp missing of my mom. I felt foolish, embarrassed, and awkward.
Your mom knew what a child needed, got me some water, gave me an assessing look, empathy, let me have my emotion, and left to go to do whatever needed doing. She trusted I’d be fine and in doing so I was fine. In a matter of minutes, I was off that seat in the darkened hallway and outside playing in the sun with you, and your siblings having the time of my life.
I was amazed as an eight-year-old that she was okay with having two more kids making it 12 children in the house. It seemed she never minded that kind of thing and was a master at juggling multiple jobs and priorities in the same moment.
I had a blast by day and was homesick by night. She kept her eye on me without making any fuss, without saying a word that might embarrass me. She welcomed me in, gave me a sense of belonging (as did you all), security, and although busy I knew she had my back. I have always had a special fondness and gratitude to her for her kindness and no fuss straight-up love in action.
Later when Granny Bauer had advanced dementia I marveled that she had grandma move in with you and cared for grandma until her death. At 12, I wondered how was that possible with 10 children? I still don’t know how that was possible to care for so many.
Your mom was amazing and as my dad said, she was a great lady. I’m sad and I’m grateful to have had her as my aunt.
She was love in action. Love in essence. Love in seeing me, seeing us.
I send deep condolences to your family, siblings, children, and their families as you grieve and honor your mom.
Love,
Maggie / Margaret
Dillon Katz Joe and Rebecca send along their love and condolences as well.

We treasure our memories of Patsy as a kind, generous and gracious sister-in-law and aunt, with so much love in her heart for her family, friends and faith.
She lived in the moment and possessed an inner strength that was a source of inspiration to all. Patsy's true gift in life was making everyone around her feel as if they were the most important, interesting person on earch.
Our family will always love and remember her. She will be deeply missed.
May she rest in peace.
