I was saddened to hear from our mutual friend Oz that Peter had died. I came to know him through our joint participation in the local group, the Alliance Against Poverty. I was often struck in group meetings by Peter's tender, compassionate responsiveness to the plight of the AAP members who live the life of unwanted poverty in this affluent region. Just last year Peter and Julie made a generous donation to each of these members, which they deeply appreciated. Over the years of our mutual involvement in AAP I admired his impish sense of humour and discovered that he and I had attended a Jesuit high school in NYC: Peter at Brooklyn Prep and I at Regis. I will miss him!

Peter was a very kind man. I will miss visits to the Art Gallery of Ontario with Julie and Peter and sometimes Chad. I will think of Peter when I see a squirrel, appreciate him for liking pictures of my grandson and remember him for his staunch defence of “Miss Bunting.” My deepest condolences to Julie and Chad. Love, Seona

Peter's kind heart, intelligence, compassion and quick smile will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to get to know him. I always looked forward to seeing him and Julie at Benjamin's and Timeless Cafe where we connected through the music and enjoyed many great conversations. I was always touched by his, and Julie's, kind enthusiasm and honoured by their interest in my work. He will be indelibly etched in my heart and mind.

So sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I had the great privilege of caring for Peter as a physician when I previously practiced in Ontario and quite enjoyed chatting with him about our mutual interests of Argos football, Rangers hockey and Canadian University Sports. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

Peter was very special to our family! I have many fond memories of peter and julie's trips to green bay. I especially remember the time Jordan and peter went to a hockey game, the tailgate party and Packer Game. Peter fit in so well with Jordan's friends and years later he would always inquire how the people he met were doing. He will be missed.

Peter was kind, ever gentle, funny, thoughtful, with a lively intellect and a sincere commitment to making this world a better place. I can't think of anything better to say of any person. We will all miss him and his luminous smile. My sincere condolences to Julie and Chad, whom he loved with all that great heart of his.

I would like to share a memory about Peter from my university days at St. Jerome’s 1967-68. He was my history prof and his lectures were always interesting and informative. My major was history and he is the only prof that I can recall. That says a lot about his caring and quiet manner. Rest In Peace for a life well lived.

Peter was one of my most favourite people in the world. I will miss our morning chuckles we had. He loved my laugh as much as I loved his. Rest in peace our dear friend.
