Obituary of Eileen Solomon

Our mother passed away on Thursday, April 8 having lived a rich and long life. We were not surprised, but heartened that her grace, sparkling wit, wisdom, and intelligence shone until the end. A lover of words and language, rejoicer in her Irish heritage, a Scrabble ace and crossword enthusiast (New York Times at that).

Beloved wife of the late Stan Solomon (2000) and loving mother of Tom and Dawn, Michael, Robert and Lori, Mary Ann and Ehler Hollatz, Janice and Fred Luk, Judy and Tony McDonald, Patrick and Lesley, Sheila and Darryl Kucey and Jim and Sheila. Much loved by her grandchildren Michael and Matt (Lauryn) Solomon, Rebecca Tischart (Nick), Thea and Hannah Hollatz, Erin McDonald, Megan and Emily Solomon, Christine, Andrew and Daniel Kucey, Jarett, Parker and Ryerson Solomon.

The Solomon family warmly thanks the dedicated and compassionate caregivers at Chartwell Elmira.

A private family memorial and wake will take place on a future date.
