Obituary of Michael Andrew Savage

Born Michael Turcott. Passed away suddenly at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on May 14, 2021 at the age of 66. 5 minutes earlier, he was sharing jokes with the nurses, then closed his eyes and was gone.

Beloved husband for over 45 years to Cathie. Loving father to Neil and Matthew. Will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews across Canada, in-laws, extended family and friends.

Michael worked at Bauer Industries for 27 years and then ran his own computer consulting company. He believed in the dignity of all people regardless of their circumstances. He was fully involved with his church First United, Waterloo and the community. His passions were improving the lives of those with disabilities, seeking affordable housing and was a founding member of KW Out of the Cold and Supportive Housing of Waterloo.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at First United Church 16 William St. W,
