Obituary of Inez C. Byers-Morehouse

Inez passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021 at Village of University Gates, Waterloo, age 95 (July 11, 1926). Beloved wife of Gerald Morehouse (married Nov. 2011). Loved mother of Gary and Kathy, Richard Wingfield and the late Sheril Wingfield (2018). Cherished grandmother of Steven Wingfield, Carrie Zeilstra (Grayson), Amy Emes (Chad), Tara Gee (Casey) and great-grandmother of Madelaine, Carson, Kaitlyn, Brayden, Tyler, Ethan and Lauren. Remembered by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Shirley McLean, Mildred Byers, Clarence Guse and Lester Reist.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Emma Hoath, cherished husband of 53 years Austin (1998), daughter Sheril, sisters, Gertrude (James) Shaw, Julia (Claren Baker) Bray, Eva (Mansell) Schwalm, Alma (Bill) Pilkey, Iva (Maurice) Fletcher and by her brother Lloyd (Marion) Hoath, sisters-in law and brothers-in-law Jean, Ruth (Alvin) Gordon, Marjorie Reist, Naomi Guse, Edwin (Willa) Byers, Walter, (Eva) Byers, Gord Byers, Allan Byers and Calvin McLean.

Longtime member of Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church, Kitchener.

Thanks to staff at University Gates who cared for her. Special mention to nurse Theresa for her care of Mom and Sepideh who kept us in touch with Mom over video chats.

A private family service will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo followed by the interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
