Richard and I became close friends with Inge and Leonard when we lived in Kitchener and we very much enjoyed our friendship and regular visits at their home or at the cottage. Inge was a generous and hospitable person, and always happy to invite us for tea, a meal or a visit in Southampton. We shared many memorable moments and will always remember fondly our time spent with Inge, our conversations and her warm welcoming nature. Your parents are forever dear friends of ours and continue live in our hearts. Our sincere condolences to you Barb and Mike, and to your spouses. God bless you and comfort you. Two and a half years ago I entered Inge's room at University Gates for the first time as her Seniors for Seniors caregiver, a week ago I left her room for the last time. During that time Inge had become my beloved friend, I think it took all of two minutes after meeting for us to become fast friends. We shared many events together during my visits. For a Luau we dressed up in our most colourful outfits wore leighs while sipping Punch with little umbrellas in the glasses, Halloween as "Biker Mommas" complete with flowing orange hair and leather caps, New Year's celebrations with noise makers and silly Happy New Year hats, and many others. Inge bested me early on when the Reptile guy was visiting, he had more than reptiles, he had a Tarantula as well. He offered each resident the opportunity (?) to hold the Tarantula (as well as lizards and turtles). Undaunted, Inge spent a moment with each one, even the mentioned super spider. Unfortunately events were cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, though we found many ways of enjoying each others' company, most recently strolls outside in the spring weather. Mike and Barb you were your mom's much loved "saplings", she raised and nurtured you to become the special people you are. I have enjoyed getting to know you both over these last 2 years, may the coming days bring you many memories of your mom to comfort you as well as bring wistful smiles. Listening to and watching Inge with others has taught me many lessons that I will always treasure. She truly showed a loving and generous spirit. Honouring her generosity to others and in memory of Inge I have made a donation to Verity Community Church, Waterloo directing them to use it to help a lady I know of who is having a struggle during these trying times.

We had the pleasure of spending time with Inge and Leonard, while visiting Barb and Jim in Waterloo and in Southampton. Inge was so warm and welcoming to us.
