Obituary of Hermann Klingspon

Hermann Klingspon passed away peacefully after a short illness at Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, with his loving wife of almost 60 years by his side.

Hermann was born in Szczawin, Poland on November 8, 1930. He emigrated to Canada with his family in 1953 and built a successful life in Kitchener with Agathe (nee Remers) whom he married in 1961.

Hermann and his brother Willy started and co-owned W-H Autobody for over 35 years.

Hermann’s favourite place was his country retreat, “the Bush”, near Hanover. He and Agathe spent many wonderful times there with family and friends. Who can forget his pet fish Bassie?

Hermann was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Hermann is fondly remembered by many family members: brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces as well as by close friends. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Agathe.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place.

Donations to a charity of your choice in Hermann’s memory are greatly appreciated and may be arranged by contacting the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
