My deepest sympathy to your entire family. Your mother was a strong, caring and sensitive woman who contributed so much to our community and her family. Her presence at WRDSB events over many years as she supported Bill in his role as Director demonstrated her own love of education and her commitment to the students we served. She will be missed.

It was an honour and blessing to know Betty for many years through All Saints Anglican Church. In her quiet, gentle way she was an encouragement and mentor to me as I raised my family and matured as a woman. Her witness as a woman of God has influenced many people, I am sure. May all who grieve her passing feel surrounded by the love and comfort of God and the memories of her care. Blessings to you.

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I remember her well, and your Dad, neighbours on Wildwood Place. Your Mom was always so kind and gracious. After we all moved from Wildwood, it was a joy to take my Mother to visit them in their new home. We had lots of laughs and interesting conversation. Fond memories of both your parents that I will treasure.

When my family and I moved to Waterloo Aunt Betty and Uncle Bill were a big part of making it feel like home. Seeing them at church, playing ping pong in their basement or going out for lunch they were amazing at making us feel welcome and at home with family nearby. She was always interested in what was going on in my life and her love was far reaching which is a trait that makes the entire Townshend clan special. I was privileged to call her my Aunt and I will miss her greatly. My condolences to her entire family.
Love you Aunt Betty.

My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. I have been working as an EA for 11 years at W.T.Townshend School and was fortunate to have the opportunity to chat or say hello to Betty during many of her visits to the school. We send our sympathy to you. Betty was a wonderful friend and neighbour. She inspired us with her
independence and thoughtful words of comfort when others needed a cheerful message. Her quilting
was beautiful and we hope it will be a good memory for her grandchildren to cherish. She always appreciated her family holiday dinners.
