PART 1: I met Elena and Alex over 22 years ago when I started working for DBC Smart Software (that later became OpenLink). Over the years they became not only coworkers but friends too. We were a handful of Romanians working together and having so much in common as we now lived an ocean and a few countries away from home. Alex was a true gentleman. Always positive, calm and so patient. He was also a mentor for me (and others) as I learned so much from him professionally.

PART 2: I remember he would come in to work every morning with a big thermos of strong, home made coffee. Not being a coffee drinker I asked him why and he would say the coffee served at work was very good... for washing windows :) not strong enough in other words. He had an amazing sense of humour! Alex, I will always remember you as the great guy I knew I could count on for help and support, both at work and in life! You will be greatly missed!
