Obituary of Farhad Mavaddat

Farhad passed away peacefully in Kitchener-Waterloo on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the age of 80.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sima Zand in 2011, his brother Farhang Mavaddat and his sister Farideh Amirnejad. He is survived by his son Marc, daughter Nicole, and sister Furouz.

Farhad was a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo from 1979 – 2015.  He received a DIC and PhD degree in Computing in 1968, from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, England.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
