Jennifer Clift posted a condolence
Thursday, January 6, 2022
In August 1952 nine rather apprehensive teenagers arrived in a war scarred London to start their nursing training at Westminster hospital. The first year gave us the Coronation, the worst smog in living memory and wonderful experiences of theatre, concerts and art galleries.
The friendships formed have lasted us seven decades. We visited Kitchener twice,( the first time snowed in for three days) and enjoyed Lesley’s hospitality as she and her family introduced us to Canada.
Lesley joined us all for reunions at Westminster, at our house in London and her sister’s home whenever she was in England.
We all miss her.
Jennifer Clift.

Lesley was the perfect host and when I first met her all those years ago in Canada and would have put Judith Chalmers to shame! Also when Lesley and I went to Stratford to see The Taming of the Shrew, we had such a giggle that it was the modern version. Not quite what Lesley had remembered. Lesley will be missed. Ann and Miles xx

Gill I am so sorry to hear about you Mum. She sounds like a really lovely person. The MS society is near and dear to my heart as my younger sister suffered with MS. During her life she received many different kinds of support from the society your Mum worked so hard on. Take care, Rosemary
