Roy was such a quiet gentle soul who showed his love for the family in many ways . A special occasion was never missed by his sending out beautiful and thoughtful cards . He very much enjoyed attending family gatherings and he will be greatly missed now . Roy , you will always have a chair at the our table .

Our family gatherings will not be the same. Easter dinner at Roy’s will always be a cherished memory. Roy put so much care and thought into preparing a special meal and a wonderful Easter egg hunt tradition for the kids. Uncle Roy was our quiet cheerleader. He kept track of all the kids sports, activities and kept every picture we would send him. As much as he loved hearing about our activities and adventures, we also loved hearing about his too. I hope to one day travel the world as much as Roy was blessed to do. Roy was kind, supportive and always happy to be part of every family event. We will miss him dearly. No special occasion would go by without a card in the mail with a simple and very tiny “Love Roy” to remind us that he was thinking of us. I will forever be thinking of you too.
- Love Deb

I am so very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of my dear friend Roy. He was the most loyal, caring friend. We had a wonderful tradition of spending birthdays together, all through the years, and attending symphony and choral concerts, as well as performances at the Stratford Festival. Roy was so intensely proud of his family and would give me regular updates and share pictures, first of Mike and Deb and then of Will, Elizabeth, Emma and Alex, as they grew up. I felt as if I got to know you through his enthusiasm and his very interesting stories of your adventures. My thoughts are with you all. I hope that precious memories of moments with Roy will help to comfort and support you at this gentle time.
Sincerely,
Ruth-Ann Boos

Roy was our Uncle. He was my uncle first and I’m so happy that my children Elizabeth and Alex had the chance to know my sweet uncle. He was kind and caring. Always interested to know what we were up to and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. I don’t know how he did it, but his precision with Canada Post delivery was unbeatable. Family was very important to Roy. He was the keeper of our family history and family tree. He had the best memory of all of us.
In our family, we took turns hosting holiday meals and Easter was always at Uncle Roy’s. He would go out of his way to make it special for us and the kids. The table was always set so beautifully and as soon as the kids were old enough, he started an Easter Egg Hunt tradition and let the kids run wild in his lovely apartment. They loved it. We loved it.
You were a model example of who a kind, caring and loving person should be. We will miss you Uncle Roy, but we’ll never forget you and we know you’re still with us.
