We have enjoyed our contacts with Ron over 60 years. When we arrived at KCI in 1961, Marge and Ron were very welcoming, entertaining the Science Department on numerous occasions at their home on Forsythe. He was very supportive of the rookie science teachers. After retirement, Ron always attended the WCSSPA socials at Angie’s and Golf’s enjoying long time memories with fellow headmasters. Our deepest sympathies. Ron was a big part of my Dad’s life (Aside from the teaching connection, I believe he and Dad fished together back in the day). He was very kind to keep in touch with my Dad after he moved to Luther Village two years ago. What an amazing and long life he had!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Diane, Debbie, Denise, Vicki and all of your families. I have many fond memories of being at your cottage while our parents visited or played bridge. Your parents were always so kind to me. Your dad taught my family how to water-ski, including teaching my father who was 7 years older than your dad. Water-skiing became a very big thing in our family and in turn, I have taught my children to water-ski. In recent years, I always enjoyed going to Vicki's cottage to visit with your dad. My adult children also enjoyed visits with him and hearing stories about my father and Mr. Gohl working together. I found your dad to be inspirational and I was very happy to be Facebook friends with him. I am so sorry to hear he is gone, although I know he lived a long, happy, full life. xo

My parents were longtime friends of the Gohls through very active associations at First United Church. My husband’s parents also were great friends of Marge and Ron as high school teachers and administrators. Stephen and I remember ‘Mr. Gohl’ fondly as our VP at WCI.
