Now retired, I am rarely on Linkedin, but saw this notice today. In my dealing with SIT Patrick was always someone I was happy to see. He was always acring and genuine, words not spoken of many in the world we worked in. I am so sorry that you lost your partner just as you were starting a new phase in your life. My thoughts are with you.

Beautiful service. Funny, smart and interesting, just like the man himself.
Miss you, Patrick. An honour to have known you, if for only a few years.
(Attached photo of Patrick and Marianne is from my 2016 retirement roast they were so instrumental in organizing. Forever thankful).

On the way into my office, I would see Patrick’s office light on, and we would take those quiet, early moments to write the present, plan the future, and challenge our thinking.
Patrick was extraordinary at opening a conversation with everyone in his path, encouraged the confidence to share and extrapolate specific ideas and theories. He mastered his mentorship skill to critique in a manner that spoke to personal growth rather than with criticism.
WOLF was founded on creative thinking, driven toward sharing ideas, and the example to be at the leading edge of technology. We will miss Patrick and his presence in the WOLF offices, his insightful conversation, motivation, and dedication, to draw from each of us our best.

I am so saddened to hear of Patrick's passing. I had the honour of getting to know Patrick when I helped out with the very moving play he and Marianne wrote called "Stronger, Freer". I enjoyed running into Patrick at the Bakehouse in Stouffville and hearing all about his plans for his future ideas. I will remember him as being someone with a thirst for knowledge and a genuine interest in the people around him. He taught me how to take interesting photographs when we were both helping out with the Stouffville Free Press. He said that you had to frame your photos so that it seemed as if you were a part of the conversation, catching a moment. His photography was joyful and really captured the essence of his subjects. I learned so much from him. I will remember him as someone constantly on the move! I often saw him walking along Main Street, chatting with friends and passers by. So happy I got to know you, Patrick. I am heartbroken to hear you are gone. Sending our most heartfelt condolences from my family to yours.
Laura Volpe and family.

Dear Marianne and family,
Rob and I are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Patrick touched so many lives and will be terribly missed. We both enjoyed working with Patrick at SIT - not only in the business aspects but also in the many fun events the company held for the employees and the charities the company was involved in. May the support of your family and friends bring you comfort during this difficult time and may your many wonderful memories of Patrick bring you peace.
