I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a grandmother live into triple digits and share so many memories over the years. Here’s a picture of the seven of us. I’m hiding behind the flowers and dress.

When Julie {Reinhardt) phoned me yesterday to tell me of Auntie Grace's death, I had difficulty in believing the sad news. Even though Grace had achieved 101 years in a full and fruitful life, if anybody could have achieve immortality it would have been the wonderful Grace. Nobody could cram so much in two lifetimes as Grace did in one, albeit, long lifetime.
In a way, she has gained immortality, certainly in the minds and thoughts of those many people who knew and loved her. She was a wonderful lady who bore the tragedies that life brings with courage.
From Willesden Green, London, England to the wide open spaces in Canada with Mike and their family, Grace enjoyed a full life and a meaningful life.
Rest in Peace Auntie Grace you will never be forgotten.

Charlie and I and didn't realize at the time we purchased our house next door to Mike and Grace in 1972 how long and warm a relationship we would have with the Corcoran family. They were always available to help and advise when needed and for our three kids it was like having another set of grandparents right next door. We always had an unlocked gate between our two backyards to allow for free access when needed, usually by me to tell the kids to get back into their own yard and stop getting into Mike or Grace's way. The word from our neighbours would always be, "They're not bothering us at all." Many a time my laundry on the clothesline was rescued from the rain while I was at work and I'd find it neatly folded in the laundry basket in the garage. June became our babysitter when she was about 12 years old. We felt very confident knowing she would be under the watchful eye of her mother. When the kids got older and past needing a babysitter we would let Grace know we were going out for the evening and the kids were on their own and we knew that she and Mike would keep an eye and ear open until we got home. That was great peace of mind in the pre-cell phone era. As the years passed and Grace was widowed we were happy to be there for her when she needed our help. We had come full circle. We were dreading when the day would come when Grace would no longer be able to be in her home. It was impossible to think of anyone else living in that house. We were thrilled when we learned that Samantha and Alex would be our neighbours. The gate between our yards will remained unlocked! Jane&Charlie Loughran

What can I say about Amazing Grace. I first met her when picking up her daughter, June, in 1980 for a date.
I remember thinking at the time, what a tiny woman with a slight English accent. It’s the Queen!!
Well, little did I know that for the next 42 years she would become my Queen Mom.
Grace was physically tough as nails, kept her emotions close to her chest, kept a stiff upper lip as the British would say,
and what a sharp sense of humour. She loved her family, and we all loved her.
God Bless you Grace or should I say God Bless the Queen.
Love Wayne

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. I was a longtime employee at Pollock and Williams. Whenever Grace came into the store I always raced over to greet her. I absolutely loved chatting with her. She was so cheeky and sweet. I just loved her! To me Grace was my Betty White. She will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to all those who loved her.

Twenty some-odd years ago, at the end of a family gathering, I casually mentioned to Grace, "...so I'll see you in a couple of week's when we get-together for Mike's (grandson) birthday party." She paused a moment, then said, "a couple of weeks? At my age, I don't even buy green bananas!" I laughed then, and I'm laughing now. I think she would be pleased with that. And I think she will be deeply missed. Sincerest condolences to all her family and friends.
All our love,
Pat, Megan, Olivia and Sophie Cugliari
