In loving memory of you Gerdie. I will always think of you and the many years of fun fulfilled times we spent together. Fondly, I remember trips, short and afar with you and Liz enjoying the countryside and each other's company. I recall our trip to Pennsylvania, an eye opener for all of us. You loved to travel and one year we met up in Hawaii, a wonderful trip to remember. I remember times when we searched for pine cones to make Christmas decorations which I still have 30 years later. Or times we drove for miles looking for the perfect pumpkin. Or combing the countryside looking for bull rushes so we could create our own artistic vase or wreath. We spent many hours at Long Point Provincial Park. We managed climbing the sand dunes carrying our cooler, blankets and umbrella for shade. That's where you were happy to see me in my all purpose outfit! When I was out of maple syrup you would take me to the Mennonite farm to replenish it, and buy flowers and fresh vegetables, you would always look after me. I remember when you bought your house on Ridgeview Cr how we worked so hard to remove the wallpaper in the dining room and had a great time together reminiscing! So many years have passed and I will sadly miss your presence!
I thank you for all the pleasure, love and time we had together. RIP and know you and I will meet again. We can play trivial persuit and you will win as always! Miss you ......Tschüß Deine Kleine Ushi

My Uncle Gerry will always be remembered as the most generous, caring,and thoughtful man He always went out of his way to make me happy! Or anyone for that matter! I’ll NEVER forget that. Uncle Gerry always made me laugh too… “Uncle Gerry… your car is so clean and mint condition”!!! “Well SURE he would say! Of course!!” “ …Liz dear… wink wink.. Let’s order some of that Pizza for THIS YOUNG FELLA!!”… he always remembered things I liked, and went out of his way to make me happy!! I have tears as I write this… Uncle Gerry , I am at no loss for words as I’ll try and keep this short… but I will say this, from trips to Mennonite farms for fresh rhubarb and corn, or to St Jacob’s or the local shop…. You knew everyone and everyone loved you!! We will all miss you dearly, but will never forget you!! Lots of love Ryan xoxo

I will always have great memories of visiting with Uncle Gerry and Aunt Liz, going to their trailer when I was young and going to St. Jacob’s. He was one of the smartest people I ever knew, you never wanted to play trivial pursuit with unless you wanted to lose! My deepest condolences. You will be missed. Auf wiedersehen. Love, Kelly

"Dad" was a very special person to me. He told me I could call him dad after my father passed away and it gave me great comfort. I hope he has peace and comfort now as he surely has met my father and they will have lots to talk about.
