Andreina (Nena) Hermiston Ogilvie (nee Rodger), 90, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Nena was born on January 13, 1932 on the Swinkie Farm (near Dunino), Fife,
Nena and David lived in Port Credit, Stoney Creek,
Nena was devoted to her husband David for 68 years. Loving mother to her three sons, Graeme (wife Deborah deceased), Brian and his wife Juanita, Bruce and his wife Sharon. Loved grandmother of Iain (Katherine), Geoffrey, Cameron (Sonya), Ashley, Megan, Erin, and great-grandmother of Braeden, William, Seaton, and Nika.
Nena was predeceased by her parents Thomas Rodger and Emily Elizabeth McDonald Rodger (Hermiston), brother Thomas Rodger, sisters Anne Turner (Rodger) and May Sturrock (Rodger).
Mrs. O, as she was known, will be remembered as a most kind and gentle person. She was always singing with a joy in her step. She gave her life to the Lord and gave her time to serving others as a Sunday School teacher, through Vacation Bible Schools and Good News clubs, and as a volunteer for K-W Habilitation Services, Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility, Pine Haven Nursing Home and Central Park Lodge. Nena lived with dementia for the past 18 years, and though unaware, continued to minister to others until the very end.
Appropriately, one of Nena’s last messages to everyone was “Rich in love. Strong in faith. I miss you all.”
