Dear Ramani,
Lianne and I were so sorry to hear of Gopi's passing. Gopi was the research associate in John Thompson's lab when I began my graduate studies. He was always so supportive and helpful, just a wonderful teacher. Over the years, he moved on from being just a mentor and I've been happy to call Gopi a friend and colleague. I will miss him and I hope that knowing Gopi was truly admired and respected for many reasons will help ease your grief a little.
