I was so sorry to learn about Aunt Joan’s passing. I have so many fond memories of her and loved her very very much. Aunt Joan, you were a very special person and I am so happy that you were in my life. To my cousins: words cannot express my feelings of sympathy for you. I have so many wonderful memories of Joan … New Years Eve parties where Jack & Joan would “cut a rug”, family dinners, birthday get-togethers and girlie shopping trips. She taught me to make a pot roast. She was very smart (not much got past her), warm, kind and had a wonderful sense of humour. She could really crack me up. Family & friends were everything to her. It was a joy to watch her with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, as she had the patience to teach them in the most loving way. Joan was a “Lady” in the old-fashioned sense of the word, always knowing the correct thing to do or say, with a love for home decor and stylish clothes. She liked to look her best! She was a modern woman who knew her worth in the world and held herself to a high standard, and I feel so lucky to have known her. Rest In Peace, Joan.

Oh Joanie. My heart is heavy. I am so sad to say good bye. the world has lost another beautiful soul. I was so blessed to find Rhonda, and then to have such incredible in-laws. I am honored that you accepted me into the family. There was so much fun, and so much laughter and good times spent in your company. Great memories all. My heart is broken, I’m feeling lost and overwhelmed by her death. My Mother is vastly responsible for who I am today, she always made sure I treated people with respect and to be a gentleman with woman. I am sure she is with my father now redecorating and cleaning everything in sight. I will miss you mom, give dad a hug for me.

My Momo, There is so much that I am going to miss about you. Our daily talks, words of encouragement, stories of your (and our) past and your optimistic outlook. You taught me so many valuable lessons over the years and I often catch myself repeating your words to others to encourage them as you did me. I find myself often thinking I should call you and then realize I can't. Words cannot adequately express how much I love and miss you. You were the best mother and I am who I am because of your love and guidance. We were mother and daughter, but we also close friends and confidents. You always knew how much I love you and respected you. There was nothing left unsaid between us and for that I am grateful. Give Daddy a big hug and kiss for all of us.
