I worked with Shirley at Kitchener Public Library many years ago. We also lived in the same neighborhood so drove to work together. She was a lovely colleague, very hardworking, and very devoted to her family. Sincere condolences to your family at this sad time.
Shirley will be remembered by us a faithful Christian servant and and extraordinary teacher explaining the basics of our faith to the very youngest among us. Not all of us have the patience or knowledge to do so in years of Sunday School and Junior Church service. She also exhibited resolve in living for her Saviour Jesus Christ through years of struggling for every breath. She will be missed, but not for long since we are also guaranteed to spend an eternity in Glory with her comparing ours to her impeccable notes. Because after all, she was attended to the very end by her loving "historian" Ray,... whom she more than occasionally corrected.
