Obituary of Shirley Louise Bartlett

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Louise Bartlett at the Waterloo Hospice on October 13, 2022, at 3pm at the age of 73. Shirley was born in Woodstock Ontario on July 25, 1948. Loving wife of Raymond for 49 years and mother to Jeffrey (Lesli). She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Marcus, Tory, Isaiah, Aryanna, Lyla, Laelynn and Gabriel. She is pre-deceased by her parents Clifford and Margaret Sly of Woodstock Ontario, and her sister Deborah Straus of Kitchener. She will be missed by her brother Kenneth (Marie) and sister Donna (Grant), brother-in-law Merle, sister-in-law Millie and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Waterloo for many years. She loved working with children both as a Sunday school teacher as well as other church programs. She was also a public-school teacher and her love for both led her to a position in the research department at Kitchener Public Library.

Shirley is resting now at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S Waterloo Ontario. Cremation has already taken place, and a Memorial Service at the Erb & Good Funeral Home Chapel will take place on Saturday October 22, 2022, beginning at 10:00am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in memory of Shirley. The family thanks you for keeping them in their thoughts and prayers during this especially difficult time.
