When I heard of Cons passing I pictured him greeted by Rosemary and Gary on Christmas Day. What a celebration it must have been.
Con was my favorite uncle. He was my Godfather and always treated me special.
Randy’s earliest memory of Con was when we were both quite young. It was at St Clements ball games. Con and Rosemary were both keen fans at Bobs games. We remember that Con was known as The Wittler! He always had a stick or a piece by of wood and his jackknife and would whittle away while cheering on the game. Yes sometimes a little blood. He would make guns, knives (dare I say now). And small toys and give away.
Another long time memory is Con beeping as he went through town. We would always say there goes Con.
We have fond memories at the cottage, skiing, playing cards. Sometimes at poker the cards would fly! Fishing trips the many Christmas Eves together when we were young.
I am so happy Cathy, Steve and Laurie were able to spend a last special Christmas Eve with Con And then again you were at his side when he passed. Cathy you have been an amazing daughter always at your parents side. Both were blessed with you. May God comfort all of you in the many difficult days ahead Love Randy and Gail

Con, all who have known you will miss you but always will remember you. You were never ever the type to complain about anything no matter how difficult. You smiled a lot & listened carefully. I could trust that you understood often better than anyone when I was having troubles. Perhaps you’re with Rosemary and Gary and Fifi and Maggie. Most importantly, you aren’t suffering anymore. Go play some golf :)

It's a funny thing how a person can, by a simple greeting, a wave of a hand or a kind word, make your day. That is how I knew Conrad. I maintain the gardens at a his neighbour's across the street. He loved to sit on his front porch and watch the world go by. When I would come to work, the first thing I would do is look for him on his porch and, when he was there, he always had a big smile and friendly wave upon my arrival. He would always give me a big "thumbs up" on the job I was doing on the row of hedges. He had to look at them also, so it was important.
I will miss his greetings to me in the mornings, but I will look over with fondness and remember his kindness.
My deepest, heartfelt condolences to Cathy and all who loved him.
