Jim was very instumental in my career as during my early days at Uniroyal working in Customs and Transportation a friend though bowling offered me a job at Trailmobile in Brantford for quite a bit more money than I was earning.
Stan Fischer back then wanted me to stay but could not do much to convince me.
It was Jim who asked me to come to his office and convinced me to look at the big picture as he put it. He offered me a raise (not comparable to what I was being offered in Brantford), but he also told me how much I was being appreciated by Stan and my co-workers.
So glad he was there at that time in my life as through him I made the right decision and as ironic as it seems I eventually assumed the same position he had for Uniroyal Goodrich (Michelin) as Logistics Manager when I retired.
Our good Lord has a way of putting people in your life that in many ways are like an angel, that you do not recognize until later in life.
He was that for me.

My deepest condolences to you Myrna and Laureen. Yours and Jim's friendship was treasured by Mom and Dad. Mom had this poem on her favourites list and it has always brought me comfort. I hope it will be of some help to you. Colleen (Cloke) Johnstone
Do Not Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond's glint on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripening grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there,
I did not die.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I don't think I would have my SIN number, or driver's licence to this day without your parents. I will always have fond memories of your dad.
