Dear Paul and Liz,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom is still your mom no matter how old we get. It was a beautiful picture of your her along with the obituary. What a wonderful tribute. I had a great chat with her at one of the family’s gatherings, which I remember fondly. We talked about Women Alive, which were events that my mom attended years ago, probably during the time your mom was involved on the planning/executive.
I am sure you have many happy memories to draw on that will be comforting in the days, months and years ahead.
With deepest condolences and love,
Mary-Margaret

Dear Pam, Bob, Kristin, Ian, and all the Fryer family,
We are deeply sorry for your loss.
We will always remember Pat fondly. Her smile and personality shone bright. She may have been petite in size, but her love of her family, faith, strength and determination stood tall.
Pat was a bright light in this world and will be missed by all who knew her. You carry on her light within you.
May remembering and sharing stories bring you comfort. She will always be close in your heart.
Rest Peacefully Pat, God Bless.
With Heartfelt Sympathy and love
June and Geoff Clarke and family.

Our deepest condolences to Pat’s entire family. We will never forget her warm demeanour and sweet smile. Our association with Pat was through the Faculty of Mathematics. Ron was a student and then colleague of Ken’s from 1960 forward. The world has lost a truly gentle soul! Ron and Janet Mullin

I am so sorry to hear about Pat. I knew her from PROBUS . She was a member of the Beaujolais Wine group
She was a gracious hostess, and certainly had a mind of her own. The Irish I presume.
She supported her friends and gave freely of her time and herself.
She will be missed.

Dave, Mick, Jen and I were so sad to hear of Aunt Pat's passing. With her kind, generous and tenacious heart, she gave so much of herself to everyone. We will always treasure the times our families spent together growing up. It was always such fun to see the sisters together, and with brother Joe - teasing each other, telling stories and laughing until they cried. To all our Fryer cousins, and to your extended families - we send our deepest condolences and wrap you up in love. May your grief turn one day soon to happy memories. Your Mom was one of a kind. We wish her peace, and a joyful reunion with Ken, her sisters and her big brother. May their laughter disrupt the heavens! All our love, The Steers Family

My condolences to the entire Fryer family.
I met Pat throught my mother, Shirley Waurechen. Pat and my mom volunteered together at Freeport Hospital back in the day. My path crossed with Pat again at Hospice Waterloo Region. Both Pat and I were Hospice volunteers. We'd see each other at volunteer connection meetings. Occasionally I'd see Pat at Zehrs shopping.
I truly admired Pat's zest for life. She was a firecrack with a smile and sense of humour like fireworks. Yet Pat also was full of compassion and empathy for others which shined through in her volunteering.
Pat, you were a beautiful spirit and role model. The essence of a life well lived. Thank you for being you. I'm sure you have left a legacy of positive, happy memories with your family and friends. ...Cathy Kroetsch

My deepest condolences to the Fryer family on your loss. Pat was always so welcoming when I dropped by Dietz with Carol during the 80s. I vividly remember a wonderful tradition, my first and only, 'trousseau tea' for Carol hosted by Pat.
May all your fond memories bring a smile to your face in the days and times ahead.
Love,
Magda Rigo, Fred Mottashed, and Family.

Sincere condolences to the entire Fryer family. May you experience the love and support of a wide circle of family and friends as well as God's care and compassion. In 1960 I joined the "new" University of Waterloo as a mathematics student. The name Ken Fryer quickly became well known not only for his mathematical and administrative leadership, but because of his gracious, extremely helpful, approachable persona and sense of humor. Later that year, and for my remaining undergraduate years at UW, I was invited with other undergraduate and graduate math students to the Fryer home for an annual Sunday evening meal where we came to deeply appreciate Pat Fryer's gracious and generous hospitality and gracious friendliness. Pat and Ken made a huge impression on me which I remember with deep gratitude to this day.
