Toni was a wonderful friend and fellow musician, a true inspiration As members of Orchestra London and the Grosvenor String Quartet. we performed in many concerts together. I also benefited from discussions about teaching and through it all had great fun.
I admired Toni as a violinist, a mother, a wife, a teacher and a community leader
My condolences to all the Grant family

My deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother.
I met Toni approximately 2 years ago at Luther Village and she was often found in the Muskoka room with her ladies including my mom Fanika. I loved to sit there with them and listen to all her stories. I had just seen her a few weeks ago and last time we spoke she promised to bring her violin down to play for us.
My heart broke last night when I heard the news. She was such a lovely lady.
RIP Toni.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My fond memories of Toni occurred mostly at Waneshing, cruising the Lake with Arthur at the helm. Everyone relaxed and smiling. Ian and Toni were always such wonderful, warm and welcome guests there. RIP, Toni.

Mrs. Grant was our wonderful strings teacher at St. Peter's and the fabulous mother to my dear friends Cam and Duncan and all of her children. My favourite musical memory of her in our class was the Panis Angelicous she shared with Caroline Ferarro's beautiful voice. Together they were just stunning and from the first note she played on her violin, the sound was musical perfection. She always had an encouraging word and warm smile to share whenever we visited your family home, or met elsewhere. What a wonderful woman who gave us all so many memories to treasure.
My deepest condolences to the entire Grant family,
Karyn (Femia) Sumner

Our family lived a few doors down from the Grants on St. James Street in London. Such fond memories of that neighborhood! I took private violin lessons from ‘Mrs. Grant’ for a number of years. These lessons took place in the front room next to the kitchen. There were interruptions during these lessons when the swinging door from the kitchen would fly open with one of the children wanting attention from Mom! Toni was always so patient, would answer a question, attend to a need and then carry on with our lesson. On a regular basis she organized recitals for her students. Chairs were set up in the second front room of the house for parents to come and hear their children’s progress in musical talent! Thank you ‘Mrs. Grant’ for the strong foundation and lasting appreciation of music, and wonderful memories of the St. James Street family connection.
With Love Mary Thuss (nee Sanderson)
