Jamie was a kind soul, who was always so kind and appreciative. I will miss his smile, and daily chats. Rest in Peace <3

I actually never met Jamie but, having been born and raised in Waterloo, I consider him a legend. He will no doubt be missed by many who knew him personally and the community as a whole.

Sorry for your loss. Jamie was a large person in so many ways. I have fond memories of Jamie from the 1940's. He kept the bullies in check, roller skating at the Waterloo arena. Nobody fooled with Jamie. I lived on Euclid Ave., and Jamie often walked by and stopped to talk, with a bible in his hand. A life well lived.

I am saddened to know the passing of My Friend Jamie. He was a very special ,kindhearted man. He shared alot of his memories ,and unique stories from his past with me. He was very happy at Fergus Place Retirement. I was his Personal Support Worker. He looked forward to know I was there to take care of him, and he always told me how much he appreciated me.I know he will be happy to be reunited with his parents, his brothers, andespecially his mother, whom he always talked about.May you Rest In Peace,Jamie.I will truly Miss you! Love Jean Campbell

I have really wonderful memories of Jamie. We lived on John Street and he lived on Allen Street. He would often come over and sit on the porch with my grandparents and my Dad. He was a true Waterloo native and knew so many people. I always loved to have conversations with Jamie. He will truly be missed by so many people in Waterloo, I’m sure. Rest In Peace my friend.
Jean (Garner) Shannon.
