Our sincere condolences to all who are touched by David's passing.
We have fond memories of our interactions with David, especially related to his passion for music and singing. Brenda recalls the several times she accompanied on the piano at Fairview as David sang his favourite pieces. On at least one occasion, they also shared in presenting special music at his Aunt Hilda's funeral: "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "A Wonderful Savior is Jesus."
It was especially precious this past May to have opportunity to gather with David and my mom, Leeta Horst, around the Parkwood piano and sing several of his favourite songs - this time for him, but he hung on every note and mouthed several of the words!
