Dear Radha, Bobby & Shefali & family, I am so sorry to hear about Raj’s passing. My late husband (Gord) & I were lucky enough to live just down the hall from Raj, Radha, & Bobby in a walk-up apartment building in London, Ont. way back in 1977-79 just after our marriage. Gord worked with Raj in the computing centre at the University of Western Ontario for the 2 years that we lived in London and Radha & I worked in Geophysics. We would often visit with each other both at work and at home. We greatly enjoyed many interesting & humorous conversations & loved playing with Bobby. When Gord was away on business, Raj would always thoughtfully look out for me and offer me a ride into work. In 1979, when we left London for work in Edmonton, there was a big empty hole in my heart to be leaving this family behind. This is now I feel since I’ve learned about Raj’s passing. I will always remember him as a kind and gentle soul. My heartfelt condolences & love, Tina Barker

So sorry about the passing of Raj. We were together on the Board of Nota Bene and he was a very good person to work with. A very good person in so many other ways as well. My wife Mildred and I have fond memories of being with him and Radha at Nota Bene concerts. We send her our heartfelt condolences.

Our deepest sympathies to you Rhada, Bobby, Shefali and your family. We were saddened with this news and even more so that we weren't able to have that last tea date with Raj as we had planned. I was so heartbroken to learn of Raj's passing. I enjoyed many wonderful conversations with Raj about life, God and our shared time working at Laurier. He was a wonderful, generous and kind man and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace dear friend. My deepest sympathies to all the family.

Dear Uncle Govi You taught me so much including Computers, Algorithms, Cooking, Cricket and how just to he decent. 52 years ago I met you in Calicut just before your wedding and I knew I had met a Giant among us. So thank you for everything you gave me and everyone else. On Friday I created a new dish called "Govi Manchurian" in your honour inspired by some of your favourite spice combinations. It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of our dear friend and previous Nota Bene board director Dr. Raj Govindarajan. Raj, as we knew him, joined the Nota Bene directorship back in 2005 and filled an active role as director on 3 different Nota Bene boards over the span of 12 years. His contribution to the Nota Bene organization will be well-remembered and appreciated. Raj was a stalwart supporter of the Nota Bene organization and of its mission to perform HIP (historically informed performances) events in our communities. He was very much instrumental at fostering the performance of early music we so dearly love. We will miss his smile, exuberance and passion at our concerts. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Raj's passing. He was a dear friend, mentor and colleague, and I am going to miss him very much. Thinking of Radha, Bobby, Shefali, Linus and Hazel during this difficult time.
