John, Jane & "Little" Steve,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your dad. Having lost both my parents too, I know there is a feeling of finality that accompanies this event. I hope that you can continue to hold memories of them close to you.
My strongest memories of your dad are from Six Mile Lake, or rather, the trip to the cottage. Your family generously hosted me several summers. On occasion, when the rest of you were already at the lake, your dad would drive me. And we'd sing old time songs on the way. What a great experience.
Likewise, I valued the chance to learn to swim (from the beach to the dock) under your dad's watchful eye. And learning to water ski - first on the custom made board and eventually on one ski - behind the powerful 35 hp Johnson motor.
Thank you for the memories. I hope that you too, can hold them dear,.
