I have so many memories of Mrs Derksen. Her laugh, teaching me how to load the dishwasher because I practically lived at her house and she thought I should help out, her encouragement to play the piano even though I wasn’t very good. But the thing I will always remember is when my Father In Law passed, my parents were away on vacation. I had no one to watch my children (ages 1, 2 and 3) so I could go to the funeral. Mrs Derksen stepped in and offered to watch the boys so I could attend the funeral. She had only met them in passing but there she was coming to my rescue. Her heart was so big and I’ve never forgotten.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Karen, Mark and David. She was wonderful and you were all lucky to have her for so long. ❤️❤️❤️
