Obituary of Willi Kellner

Passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Grand River Hospital, age 91.

Loving husband of Lisa for over 65 years. He will be missed by his children Heike Kellner and her partner Ken Remington, Wilhelm (Jeanne) Kellner and Dagmar Norlock (Mike). Dear opa of Curtis Remington, Ryan Kellner (Aisha), and Briana Norlock. Proud great-opa of Maya and Genevieve.

Predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Luise. Willi is survived by his sisters Elfriede (the late Klaus) and Margarete (the late Eberhard) and many nieces and nephews in Germany on both sides of the families. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Friedhilde Friedrich and niece Susanne.

Born in Heilbronn, Germany, in 1932, Willi immigrated to Canada in 1958 with Lisa and settled in Kitchener, where he opened his woodworking company, Willi Kellner Custom Wooden Stairs and Railings, working alongside his son, Wilhelm.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Grand River Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion to Willi and his family.

Per Willi’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Erb & Good Family Funeral Home.
