Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Hospice Waterloo Region on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at age 76.

Bob will be dearly missed by his wife Linda (Fast), children Zoe (Thomas) and Ben (Stephanie). He was a loving Opa to Max, Jake, Micah, Noah, Eve, and Eli. Bob was dearly loved by his siblings: Liz (John), Cathy (the late Rod), and Tom (Joanne). 

Known for his humour and his trademark mustache, Bob was a real character; generous with his time and welcoming to all. Bob and Linda’s friends were treated as family, especially their community at Rockway Mennonite Church.

A lawyer for 43 years, he was valued for his calm and supportive guidance, even after he retired. He dedicated innumerable hours to boards and committees, notably Rockway Mennonite Church, International Child Care, and Kindred Credit Union.

Bob was also a talented musician. He loved singing and playing bluegrass gospel and folk music on the guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin. He was a hootenanny host, calendar subject, and a gold medalist in Tai Chi Push Hands.

Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend a celebration of life service on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11am at the Rockway Mennonite Church, 47 Onward Avenue, Kitchener. A light lunch will follow.
