My favourite memories of Cousin Joan was sitting at the cottage looking out over the water and talking about life!
Joan is the one in the cowboy hat on the left side.
My condolences to the family and friends. Miss you sister cousin ❤️❤️

Joan and I began our journey together at Walmart Stanley Park in the pharmacy. We became the best of friends and continued our friendship after our store closed. I visited her occasionally including at her new home which she loved so much. She felt so blessed by her neighbours who assisted her, for her friends and family, Dr's. and all those who took care of her.
I have never met anyone full of so much determination. Even through her final days her faith continued to grow stronger.
Joan told me she played the piano and went quite far in her lessons. I never heard her play but she loved listening to my son sing in the choir at Trinity United when he sang a solo. She loved music.
On my last visit she treated me to Swiss Chalet and then proceeded to beat my butt in crokinole. She laughed, smiled and was quite gracious about it. We often shared our times working together.
Goodbye my dearest friend. I will miss you
Love Roberta

Joan was a Nursing classmate (St. Mary's School of Nursing 1971). We had lots of fun in residence and we will miss her at our '71 Class reunion on May 6. Rest in Peace Joan.
