Maggie & I had been friends since Grade 2 at St Mary's school in Owen Sound. We both moved away in Grade 8 but kept in touch over the years. In the last number of years we'd talk on the phone 3 or 4 times a year & catch up on each other's lives. We always had many laughs reminiscing about the old days. I will miss her. My sympathy to George & Regan & family. Georgie, I hope you'll always know what joy you brought to Maggie.

Maggie loved so deeply and fought so hard until the very end. She was so tough. She welcomed me into the family with open arms and would treat me as if I were her own granddaughter. We would talk and laugh for hours when given the chance. I will miss her but I know that she is no longer in pain. Maggie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who love her.

George, Regan and family wish we were there with you. We are driving home from Arizona. I am so sad that our Maggie is gone. Guess I thought she would be here forever. She will be in my heart and mind forever. During the past weeks we talked several times. We talked of memories including our teller experiences at BMO Kitchener Main in the 60’s. We giggled about our April birthdays turning 73. Maggie did all possible to be with Georgie and her family as long as possible. She fought hard and won so many times. In every conversation I told her that she inspired me so and before hanging up we both said…I Love You. I will cherish those conversations and her love forever. I never met Maggie in person only online, but we became instant friends. Having the same cancer we knew exactly what the other one was going through. I will miss our chats so very much, but will treasure the time we did have. Maggie had such a deep love for her family and friends. May the wonderful memories help everyone through this very sad and difficult time. Rest in peace my beautiful teal sister.
