Grammie was a graceful matriarch. Ever present with her phone calls and letters, I have drawn constant inspiration from her commitment to loved ones, to writing, to gardening, to living. A powerful woman who endlessly honoured her convictions and shared her heart abundantly, with gentle generosity.
Despite being with her physically only once, before my memories began, I have felt her with me every day of my life. Thanks to her beautiful granddaughter, mother to my sister Ashley and I, Sunshine, Hazel’s spirit was always present in our home. My mom Sunshine has some most special memories with Grammie, I cherish the stories. Her presence lives on by the light, warmth, and an affluent stream of love that flows within every soul she impacted in her long and bountiful life.

Mrs. Orth lived across the street from us when I was 6-16 years old. Her and Mr. Orth were very kind to us. I went to his funeral when I was 14 years old. Now, my son is 14. Hazel is my friend Sunni's "Grammie" She was so kind to us and made us lunch and let us visit when Sunshine was here for a summer holiday. If I could go back in time and see her home as it was in the 80's, it would be a treat.

Grammie O was my great grandma. I haven’t seen her since we went back east for a visit when I was about 4, and I wish I had the chance to see her again, but I cherished her nonetheless. I wrote her letters and sent her photos and told her about all the big things that happened in my life lately. She sent us Christmas and birthday cards never ever forgetting one, Skyler even started getting them after she came to think the world of him - and she had only met him through letters and photos. That’s just how she was, the most loving lady, even from a distance. She was kind, and beautiful, and such a special human and she certainly will never be forgotten. I love you Grammie ❤️

Our deepest sympathy to Evelyn, Sharon, Allen and families on the passing of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Have fond memories of my time visiting with her and your father when I was younger. Spoke with your mother last year on her 100th birthday and we had a good conversation.
I am sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral as my family from Bermuda will be here visiting. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this time. God Bless everyone.
