Obituary of Carol Ann Muncaster
Carol Ann died peacefully, surrounded by family, after a short illness. Carol Ann was born in Winchester, Ontario, the second daughter of Ken and Marion Ault. She is survived by her best friend of 67 years Russell Muncaster, her daughters Marion Elizabeth Melse and Penelope Ann Muncaster and son R. Paul Muncaster (Ellen). She also leaves her loving grandchildren Peter Melse, Josephine Muncaster and Manuel Muncaster and great-grandchildren Ev Melse and Logan George-Melse. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, a brother, a son-in-law, and a precious granddaughter.
Supported by the love of her family, she had a wonderful life. After high school in Winchester, Carol Ann moved to Toronto where she met Russell during frosh week at Ryerson Institute of Technology. Married life took them to Sudbury, Deep River and Waterloo, then Massachusetts for three years before they returned to Waterloo where she supported Russell in his work at WLU.
Carol Ann loved to travel (going to all the continents except Antarctica – she did not like the cold), dabbled in pottery and spent hours in her sewing room creating clothing (especially Christmas pyjamas) and quilts for her immediate and extended family.
The family would like to thank CarePartners for their support, excellent care and kindness during the past few months.
Carol Ann would like to thank Hawke's Bay wines (sauvignon blanc) and asks that, in lieu of a memorial service, you raise a glass in her memory.
