Obituary of Allan Henry Koch
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Allan Koch at Columbia Forest Long Term Care on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in his 93rd year.
He is survived by his nephew Wayne Koch (Ann), his nieces Sheila (dec. John) Biehl, Nancy (David) Joslin, Mary Schram, Katherine (Scott) Beecroft, and many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents William and Isabella Koch (nee Kline), his sisters Grace Koch and Marie (Lloyd) Hamel, and his brother Walter (Mabel) Koch.
Allan was born on November 3, 1931, in Waterloo, ON. He was blessed with many grants from the University of Guelph where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree. He truly believed in the value of education. He loved to hunt and fish, was kind, generous and enjoyed spending time with friends and family who will miss him. After retiring from his job as Head Brewmaster at Moosehead Breweries in Nova Scotia, he moved back to Waterloo.

Visitation will take place at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon reception in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room until 1:30 p.m. In keeping with Allan's wishes, there will be no funeral service. All are welcome to accompany the family to the interment at Riverside Cemetery, 82 Bergey Crt., New Hamburg, following the reception.
