Passed away peacefully at Chartwell Retirement Residence at the age of 83.
Loving husband of Beryl Gatzke for 50 years. Father of Allen (Sheryl) and their children Ian and Eric, and Lynne (Kevin) Parsons and their children Avery and Skye.
Predeceased by his parents Karl and Frieda, brother Arthur and wife Beryl.
Rudy was an avid sportsman throughout his life in tennis and hockey. He worked at BF Goodrich for many years as a national salesman. Rudy enjoyed world travel and had a huge passion for visiting Florida, for tennis, his many friends, and lobster rolls. He also had a love of Corvettes and continued to drive his ‘66 up until a few short weeks ago. His life in the past few years was impacted by Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), but he never let it dampen his eternal optimism and love of life!
A special thank you to Dr. Eric Hentschel for his kindness and supportive care for Rudy and his wife Beryl over these many years.
