Obituary of Stephen Arthur Higgins

Our wonderful Steve passed away on Mon. Jan. 6.  Missing him forever are wife Kaarina and son Colin.  Predeceased by son Brian in 2009. Daughter-in-law Liz Weber, her husband Nathan, and daughter Tori also mourn his passing.

Steve was an amazing martial arts teacher.  He began his Tai Chi club, Cold Mountain Internal Arts, some 35 years ago. He loved teaching and shared his delight in Tai Chi with his many students over the years.  His book, "The Martial Essence of Tai Chi", was published in December, an accomplishment that Steve was overjoyed to be able to see happen.

Steve was a wonderful man full of curiosity and laughter.  But most of all he was full of love, for his family and his friends.

There will be a celebration of Steveˋs life at some point in the future. The details of this have not yet been determined.

For those who knew Steve and would like to honour his memory; read a good book, raise a glass of whiskey, listen to some jazz, and hug your loved ones. Thatˋs all that really matters.
