Obituary of Douglas Draper

Gone home to be with his Lord on Oct. 17 at Forest Heights Long-Term Care Centre, Kitchener, in his 93rd year. Loving husband for 62 years of Greta (Briard) Draper of Waterloo; cherished father of Lorna Draper of Kitchener, Roy (Barb) Draper of Elmira, and Ruth (Dennis) Funk of London, Ont.; caring grandfather of Douglas and Dan Draper, and Jaimie and Kevin Funk, and one great-grandson. Predeceased by his first wife Eleanor (Fraser), his parents Sidney and Ethel (Griffin) Draper and two brothers, Leslie and Horace. Douglas was born in Ottawa and lived in Montreal before moving to Waterloo Region. He was a humble, quiet and gentle man who served God faithfully, happily working behind the scenes. He is now experiencing "in Thy presence is fullness of joy" (Psalm 16:11). Douglas is resting at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.,Waterloo, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday Oct. 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 11a.m. with a reception following.
