I worked with Michele for almost 9 years and consider her more than a co-worker. She was a huge inspiration to me. Her love for her family and her ambition were the two things I valued most. She was always supportive and there for advice. She offered this with a great sense of humour and wisdom. I will never forget her wonderful laugh and cheshire cat grin. I brought in 2011 with her and value that time I spent with her. She always made me want to strive for more. She will be greatly missed as I have never met anyone like her.

I worked with Michele in my last year at Family and Children's Services in Waterloo. During that time Michele proved to be an incredibly reliable, supportive and resilient co-worker. And she was so great with those kids. Her strength benefitted those kids so much. I enjoyed sharing laughs with her-we seemed to share the same kind of off beat humour. I could tell that Michele cared about my life outside of work and she was also polite to ask about my projects. Michele, I miss you...you had an impact on my life and the lives of those kids...you made this world a better place.
