As as student at WLS from 2000 to 2004, I really appreciated Arnie as a professor. I learned much from him and he was a thoughtful advisor as I prepared my comprehensive. I was really glad for his course on Rural Ministry which sent me up to Normanby Township. It really helped me in my first call. I offer heartfelt condolences for Arnie's family. May God bless you and give you strength in the days ahead.

Kathy and Family, Our thoughts are with you all. A poem that comes to mind: May God be with you now As you face this time of grief May you know the comfort of the Lord In your darkest hour of need Know that Jesus cares for you When your soul is deeply pained No matter what you may go through His love for you remains M.S. My sincere condolences to Arnie's family. I always knew him as a gentle and caring man. He was my prof. in Seminary and more than that he led by example sharing his wisdom, experience and smile. As a new student going through a medical crisis, Arnie regularly sent me cards to encourage and support. He made the seminary a real community and a place to grow in faith.

Arnie was a caring and competent professor of practical theology. He genuinely cared for students, the seminary, faculty and seminary life at WLS. For over 25 years I worked with Arnie as a supervisor-pastor for field placement students and interns while pastor at St. Pual's, Guelph. I had the highest respect for him as a colleague and friend. Dianne and I express our sincere condolences to Arnie's family at this special time. Pastor Jon and Dianne Fogleman

Dear Kathy and family, I just received email notice from Greg, our BC Synod Bishop, of Arnie's death. Being the first from Normanby Township to go to Seminary in a long time, I certainly looked up to him. Living further east on the 16th Concession made us neighbours and our families were well acquainted. Then attending WLU while Arnie was in Seminary made it even more special. Earl Yenssen and I were in the same Confirmation Class at Trinity, Ayton so I've seen Betty Ann recently as well. If I remember correctly, Doug and I were in the same class at HDHS as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please grret the rest of the family for me. Love, Gary
